The XT7.8 is powered by a smooth and quiet Xterra 3.5 HP motor with a speed range up to 19 km/hr (12 mph) and counts XTRASoft™ deck cushioning technology, an oversized running surface, and 0–12% incline range among its long list of premium features. When not in use the deck easily folds up for storage with the LiftAssist™ frame design, and includes a safe drop feature to slowly lower the deck for use. The XT7.8 also offers Bluetooth FTMS connectivity with 3rd party apps
